Everyone has different shaped feet and different workout styles, which makes finding the perfect exercise shoe almost impossible sometimes. Whether you shop specifically by brand, style, or go after the new and different, there is a wonderful exercise shoe on the market for you.
I’m a fan of Nike Cross trainers. The Nike Air SPARQ TR Cross Trainer fits my wide foot, as well as provides ample support around the heel and toe. The shoe boasts that it is speed boosting and agility enhancing, and having used them myself, I feel that they’re not off the mark. They are easy on the eyes, as they usually come in a gray and pink and are at the lower end of the Nike price spectrum at about $76 per pair.
New Balance WR8509 is a superb running shoe. This shoe features NB Zip cushioning around the heel, which provides a smooth and responsive stride. The toe comes equip with the ABZORB SBS foam cushioning system for a shock absorbing and more comfortable feel. C-CAP mid-soles and NDurance out-soles are used for enhanced durability and improved traction. The shoes also come in a variety of colors and cost about $90 per pair.
Under Armour has recently designed and released fantastic exercise shoes. The shoes are designed for women with smaller feet, as their sizes only go up to 10, but they are comfortable and supportive, as well as durable. Under Armour shoes provide a sock-like feel, as they hug your feet for enhanced comfortability. They are the perfect shoes for weight training and walking, although not the most comfortable for running. They cost about $80 per pair.
For a great all-around shoe, try Salomon XA Pro 3D XCRs. Not only are they a comfortable and supportive running shoe, but they are a great all terrain sneaker for hiking and outdoor sports. They are quick drying when used in wet situations, they provide ample stability and traction, and they’re rugged. They’re the number 1 reviewed shoe on Buzzillions.com for good reason, and cost about $100 per pair.
Saucony Grid Cohesion NX are great running shoes. They are long lasting and durable, providing good arch support as well as heel and toe support. The shoe is stylish, and great for standing, walking, or running. The most enjoyable part about being a valuable Saucony customer is that all of their shoe styles are inexpensive–while the Cohesion is no exception at just about $55 per pair.
