With different seasons come different hairstyle trends, and this summer is no exception. According to hairstylezone.com, short styles seem to be making a come back. Many female celebrities are sporting sweet sleek bob cuts, and graceful upswept dos. My favorites this year will follow, along with a few tips at achieving these great looks.
Paris Hilton looks adorable with her new little angular bob, that appears lengthier at the jaw line. This style works best with fine thin hair to give it it’s wispy look. One way to acquire this look, aside from hiring a very experienced hairstylist, is to wash, towel-dry, part in the middle, and comb it out straight with a fine toothed comb. If it is a little too wispy, try a little hair silk product, but use sparingly or it will appear greasy.
Katie Holmes has the sleekest of the sleek bobs. A layered bob like this is sure to make heads turn. Be sure and have your flat iron ready for this one, and spritz on a hair straightener product for added shine. I love this look because it is so crisp and neat.
In recent photos of Anne Hathaway, it appears that she has lopped off her beautiful locks, but her newer styles are nothing short of stunning. With her gorgeous eyes and beautiful smile, this straight-line medium length cut is absolutely striking. I love it because it’s a versatile cut that can be curled, straightened, or worn up.
Lauren Conrad was shown with a charming upswept celebrity hairstyle that works great for the summer. If you have loose curls, or wavy hair, this look is easily attained. Just twist the sides back, pin in place, twist the back, and clip it up. Be sure and pull out a few wisps for bangs for an endearing and complimentary look.
Another upswept do that is similar to Ms. Conrad’s was worn by Sienna Miller. This is a great alternative for women with straight hair that don’t want to spend time with their curling iron. For this look you can twist the sides, pull out a few strands in the front and sides, and twist the back into a bun. I love this look because it clearly compliments the face, and looks very elegant.
For curly styles, try a look like the one Angela Christian was sporting when she made her appearance for the world premier of “King Kong”. For naturally curly hair this is a cinch. Just wash, towel dry, gel it in sections, blow dry it until it is about 50% dry, and air dry the rest. I love this look because it is very complimentary on almost every face shape.
As far as celebrity hairstyles are concerned, women are not the only ones who draw attention. There are some sizzling hot male celebrities out there with some sexy low-maintenance looks, as well as a few bed-heads.
In one photo of Colin Farrel on hairstylesdesign.com, he is shown with a super sexy bed-head look. If you have naturally straight hair this should be an easy look to achieve. In truth, some men can get this look simply by going to bed with their hair wet -which I would not recommend. But if you want to achieve this natural look, unnaturally, just wash and dry why holding your bangs up and out. If your hair is stubborn, you may need a tad bit of hair spray.
Antonio Banderas has had a lot of different looks throughout the years, but my personal favorite is his pulled back ponytail. To give it a wet look apply gel when it is damp, or spray on some hair spray. Try not to put too much styling product on the ends because it can make them crisp…unless you are using mousse.
For a fresh and low-maintenance look, try out a buzz cut like Chris Evans. This is definitely an easy look to get, but it doesn’t look good on everyone. But if you are very active and outdoorsy, this one is great because you never have to worry about a hair getting out of place.
