Calling all students! Summer is coming, and you know what that means: lots of free time. Many of you will be headed out of Frisco, Texas for significant periods of time, many will have jobs, and others will be staying home with siblings, but nearly all of you will have plenty of time to waste your days away playing games and hanging out with friends in Frisco, Texas. This summer, spend time out in the world rather than stuck in your homes playing video games or catching up on all 5 seasons of LOST. Hang out in one of these fun establishments in Frisco as you connect with friends and enjoy your summers:
Frisco, Texas coffee and gelato – Frosted Java Coffee: Frosted Java is quickly becoming my very favorite spot in all of Frisco. This little privately owned coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and extremely friendly baristas, and, best of all, has a fantastic setup for hanging out with friends to talk and play games while eating their tasty gelato and drinking amazing coffee. Add to all of this the free Wi-Fi and the fact that they are cheaper than Starbucks, and you have the perfect hangout to spend your summer.
Frisco, Texas park – Warren Park: One of the best parts of summer is the opportunity to play, and the best way to play, and play big, is to head out to the Warren Sports Complex in Frisco, Texas for Frisbee, football, soccer, running, or whatever else might tickle your fancy. Go outside and enjoy the sunshine. Some people have even been known to build rafts out of bedsheets and inflatable mattresses to carry them across the lake. Creativity is key. DISCLAIMER: don’t build a raft, it’s dangerous. If you do, use a life vest.
Library in Frisco, Texas – Frisco Public Library: The more introspective person should consider giving the Frisco Public Library a whirl while you are out of classes. Read a book this summer, or better yet, read a few. Don’t consider yourself a reader? Check out some free movies or CDs from the downstairs area of the library.
Frisco, Texas – Stonebriar Mall: No list of things to do in Frisco would be complete without making mention of the ever-popular mall option. If you decide to purchase anything you will have to spend some money, but it’s always free to just walk around and look at all the material wealth that you WISH you had. Also, the AMC Stonebriar movie theater is conveniently located inside the mall, in case you have the urge to jump into one of this summer’s big blockbusters. To top it off, any group of friends can find some kind of food that they like at the mall food court, and you can all eat together.
Frisco Athletic Center in Frisco, Texas: By far the most expensive option on the list, the Frisco Athletic Center makes up for its price by offering tons to do from working out to playing sports and swimming in their two pools, complete with waterslides and the like. Frisco Athletic center offers monthly youth memberships for $23 and $35 for adults per month, but if you can afford it, the Frisco Athletic Center is worth the cost.
Frisco, Texas Bonus Selection
Ikea: I know many of you will scoff at this little bonus selection, but there are many who spend much more time than you realize walking around this gigantic furniture store and partaking of their extremely cheap food at the Ikea restaurant. If you’re hungry and only have a couple bucks, try going to hangout at the Ikea food court. If nothing else, the novelty of hanging out in a furniture store will elicit some grins.
