Bible Scripture will bring love into focus if we decide that we need to have more of it in our lives. The motive that drives every action of love resides in the heart and studying Bible scripture and applying that knowledge will help us secure more of it.
Bible Scripture Teaches That Love Drives Every Good Deed
It is possible to be bound by the desires of our own heart that God didn’t put there. God’s law is the law of love. God’s love spread abroad to others is unmistakable in its appearance. Persecution, backbiting and unfair treatment should never happen among the Body of Christ. Yet, people run from churches because of a political atmosphere instead of a Godly atmosphere. People have lost hope in organized church because the people inside don’t resemble the God of love.
If we put ourselves in the presence of God on a daily basis, love from His heart will naturally flow to us to give to others! Sounds easy; however, there are many pulls to keep us away from God. So, we must be determined to avoid anything that takes us away from the law of love. As we exercise our ability to love as God loves, others will know we have been with Him and will put their hope and trust in a relationship with God.
Bible Scripture Teaches the Success of Love
If you believe that you are failing in some way, just evaluate if the love you do have is in line with God’s perfect order. Success can only be measured by what actually motivates our actions. God sees into our hearts and offers a more excellent way. If we pursue His ways there is definitely hope for experiencing true love from God. His love breaks every burden and changes every situation. We acquire a love inside of us that destroys bondages by spending time with God and studying Bible scripture.
God’s spirit will bring every cruel thought we have to our minds so we can deal with any hatred. All of I Corinthians, Chapter 13, let’s us know what love looks like. That one chapter alone brings hope to us as we notice our heart’s condition and realize we have the ability to make any needed changes. Our hearts can be full of hatred or love but they will always burst forth to others out of abundance – whether an abundance of evil or an abundance of good.
Bible Scripture Teaches That Love Does Not Torment
If you’ve ever been fearful and without hope, you’ve felt tormented and that eats away at the foundation of love. That’s the purpose of fear – to bring down love and reside at the feet of failure. The test of love within us is how much we love God. If we live in love then God is living in us. As we mature in Christ, our love matures at the same time. We can then move ahead with the fullness of hope for God’s plans working in our lives. If fear is allowed to torment us, then we will hesitate in everything we attempt.
The more we allow God’s love within us, the more we will draw closer to Him. More God, more love – less fear, less torment. Agony, anguish, and distress should be dismissed from our lives. We can eliminate fear by cultivating love with an assurance of hope surrounding us.

Father, you want to share your abundance of love with us. May we take pleasure in your love and be content as we grow in its perfection. Thank you for the love you give to us minute by minute and let us receive your love freely so that we can treat others as more important than ourselves. Bible scripture reveals that you are love and helps us to cultivate love in abundance and not hatred in abundance as we choose which one we give out. You are pleased when we allow your love to change others lives for heaven. Amen.
