Items You Will Need to Make the DIY NBA Basketball Birthday Party Invitations: Cardstock
Fine Tip Pen
Acrylic Paints in Team Colors of Choice
Basketball Player Stamp
Begin by cutting the cardstock into the size that will fit the envelopes that you are to be using. Small invitation size envelopes can be purchased at the local craft store or in an office supply store. A good size to use is about 6 inches by 4 or the size of a regular card. It is easy to find these envelopes as well making this a great standard size for the NBA basketball birthday party invitations. Besides, this will give plenty of room for decoration of the birthday party invitations.
Use the stamps to create the look of a basketball player from the NBA tossing the basketball into a hoop. You can draw the hoop onto the invitation with the fine tip pen or a marker and then use the stamps to create the NBA player and the basketball. Allow the ink to dry thoroughly before continuing the DIY NBA basketball birthday party invitations.
Once the stamped ink has dried thoroughly, allow the children or the birthday party boy to color with markers the picture that was created for the DIY NBA basketball birthday party invitations. This will allow the children to create their own players based on their liking. They can use team colors as well as maybe even incorporate the specific number of their favorite player on the jersey of the stamped figure.
Use the letter stamps and acrylic paints that coordinate with the team colors used to color the DIY NBA basketball birthday party invitations to stamp the words “You’re Invited” or “Birthday Party” on the front of the invitation either on top or on bottom where ever there remains room around the stamped NBA player and the basketball.
Allow the paint to dry completely and then on the back side of the invitation use the fine tip pen to write the important information about the NBA basketball birthday party on the invitation. Include date, time, place and any other important information about the party on the invitation as well as a contact number.
Allow the child to place all of the DIY NBA basketball birthday party invitations into envelopes and then use the letter stamps to stamp the recipients’ names on the outside of the envelopes. Team paint colors can again be used to stamp these names onto the DIY NBA basketball birthday party invitation envelopes for added team spirit!
