Pre-school art supplies how do you know which ones out of the many art supplies that are available will work out best for you and your pre-school aged child. I know for me that each time I would go into the school supply aisle in my stores I would see that many of the supplies were geared for older kids and hardly any were available for my pre-school aged children. However, I did find some great art supplies for my pre-school aged child.
The first art supply that I found that works really well for my pre-school aged child is crayons. Now with crayons though you are going to want to find the non-toxic crayons that will be best for your kids. I know that you will have a lot of choices of how many crayons you want in the box. I would have to say that for me I would get the smaller box at first and trust me from experience you might as well grab a bag to put them in to!
I know my kids love having a large box of colors to choose from, but unfortunately with the large color selection with my kids they have decided to leave marks on the walls to with the various colors. With the smaller box of crayons they know the basic colors so they do not do that often and I do not have the problem of trying to clean my walls off!
The second pre-school art supply that you will want to try to hunt down for your kids are coloring books or blank paper. With the blank paper you can let your childs imagination take over and they can easily start drawing out the new pictures that they want with ease. While the coloring books will help you start teaching your kids how to stay in the lines. With my kids though they didn’t really like having to stay in the lines.
The third pre-school aged art supply that I recommend is a pair of blunt scissors that they can only use while you’re around them. The blunt tip will help keep your kids safer, but even with the blunt tip you will want to make sure that they only use the scissors when you are able to watch them.
Then what good are scissors if you cannot glue together the items that you cut out. I know that you will probably want to get non-toxic supplies and only use them when you’re able to observe your child. You might be amazed at the results that your little ones will give you with a glue stick just make sure you never leave your child unattended with a glue stick.
Finding pre-school art supplies is not as hard as it seems. I know that I use the art supplies above to help my child learn and further the learning experience for my kids. While you might not realize it any little bit of art supplies will help develop your kid’s love of learning.
