Are you having a fairy tale wedding theme and need to come up with an idea for the flower girl? If you’re having a real young flower girl for your wedding, you need to find a fairy tale hairstyle that is quick, easy, and fairy tale looking all at the same time. Young little girls sometimes hate to sit still when they are getting their hair done. If they tend to move too much they could get burned from the curling iron, have an uneven part, or an unbalanced looking style. So what do you do? What hairstyle would be great for a young flower girl in a fairy tale wedding?
A few hairstyles for a flower girl in a fairy wedding are ringlets with flowers, spiral curls with a flower hair wreath, hair placed into a high ponytail with ribbons, or just a simple bun of curls with lots of flowers and tendrils in the front and side. If your little princess flower girl already has curly hair your in luck, because this will make it very easy for you then. If the hair is already curly wash it well, slightly towel dry it, and then place a curling mousse or scrunch spray into the hair. Have the child put their head down and scrunch and squeeze the hair with your fingers. Then place a towel on their head and wrap it in front. Allow the rest of the hair to dry under the towel. After 30 minutes is up please remove the towel. Place some more scrunching mousse into the hair and scrub your fingers through it to give a slightly curly messy look. Take a hair wreath and place it around the head. You now have a simple yet cute fairy look for your little flower girl.
Fairy hairstyle with ringlets and flowers- This style can be worn on almost any length. As long as you have enough hair to wrap around a small or medium curling iron this should work. Wash the hair the night before. Make sure to add some hair gel or hair mousse to your hair. This will allow the hair to get a little bit dirty. Hairstyles always work best when the hair is slightly dirty like a day or two old. Take small sections of the hair and curl them. Do this on the entire head. Spray the curls with hair spray. Then add a halo of flowers to the front of the head. Make sure to place flowers from ear to ear to represent a halo look. In between the flowers you can place pieces of baby’s breath.
Bun with curls and flowers- Grab the hair from the top and sides and place it into a high bun. The bun should sit on the crown area of the head. Place flowers into the bun. Make sure the top and sides are very smooth when you place the hair into the ponytail. Cut strips of White, Green, or Pink ribbon and pin 3-4 coming down from the bun. Make sure to use bobby pins. For the rest of the hair curl it with a curling iron and let the curls go loose. If the ribbon is long enough it will actually look really cool going into the length after you have curled the hair. In the front of the hair add one small White flower on each side.
Fun twists with flowers- Grab small thin sections of hair twist them. After you twist a section slightly pin it with a bobby pin/hair pin. Do this to either the whole head or just do the front section. Use your creative side and take each section and pile it on top of each other, underneath, or intertwine them. Have fun don’t worry if this style looks slightly messy. That is the whole purpose of this hairstyle. Now take small flowers and place them in between sections. Scatter them through out the whole head.
