Pamela Denise Anderson was born July 1, 1967, in Vancouver, Canada. When she was just a teenager in the late 1980s her image was shown on a football screen wearing a “Labatt’s Blue” tee shirt. So many fans were cheering when her face was on the big screen that she was brought down to the 50-yard line and ended up signing a contract with Labatt’s and became the company’s “Blue Zone girl.” She gained recognition quickly through commercials and other advertising for the beer company, and soon received interest from Playboy magazine, and they wanted her for the cover. She has been featured on the cover five times to date, which is more than any other woman in history.
She spent two seasons as the “Tool Time” girl on Home Improvement. She was also cast as CJ on Baywatch during this time, and decided to give up Home Improvement since scheduling was difficult between the two shows. Since that time she has been cast in a few other shows and movies, including Stacked, VIP, Striperella, Raw Justice and Barb Wire, as well as many commercials and ad campaigns, and even music videos as well.
In 1994 Pamela Anderson married Tommy Lee, the drummer for the long-running rock band Motley Crue, and took the name Pamela Anderson Lee. As far as tabloids are concerned, they had a tumultuous marriage, but they had two children together: Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee. Both children were born at home with help from a mid-wife. In between having the children the couple had the infamous sex tape allegedly stolen from their home. In 1997, soon after the birth of their second son, Pam filed for divorce from Tommy and accused him of assaulting her, and Tommy received six months in jail. She went on to date Kid Rock in 2001 for a few years and broke up with him in 2003. They dated again a few years later and decided to marry in 2006. This marriage lasted only 4 months before the couple filed for divorce.
Pam Anderson has been known for having large breasts from implants, and has been famous and controversial because of them. She has had them implanted and some of the implants removed as well, which also caused much attention in the news. She is also known for her ultra-blonde hair, although she’s a natural brunette.
Pamela is a strong supporter of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and has volunteered to help them with many campaigns, including speaking out against fur (and baby seal slaughter popular in her native land of Canada), shunning the slaughter of chickens and other animals, supporting spay and neuter of pets, and supporting vegetarians. She is also said to be a vegetarian herself. There may be a campaign in the works against McDonald’s soon. She has been known to speak out against animal testing and suggested (jokingly?) to test on long-time repeat offenders/criminals in jail instead.
Aside from supporting animal rights with PETA, she also supports the following charities: Little Red Wagon Foundation which helps homeless children, MAC AIDS Fund, VEGFAM (feeding the hungry without exploiting animals), Support Our Troops/USO, Feed the Children, The National Police Athletic League Associations (providing support to youths and helping prevent juvenile crime), and others.
Some humorous quotes from Pamela:
“Natural beauty takes at least two hours in front of a mirror.”
“Making love in the morning got me through morning sickness. I found I could be happy and throw up at the same time.”
“I am the ultimate California girl, which is funny, being that I’m Canadian.”
She has been named many variations of “Sexiest Women” by different magazines and television shows, and she’s had her own Comedy Central Roast, where she was honored with a great deal of humor.
Pamela has had many accomplishments in her life, including two children and a long list of on-screen and magazine appearances. She is now in her 40s but many people still consider her a smoking hot blonde bombshell, and she remains to be one of the top-searched names of all time.
