The Rides:As usual, the Miami-Dade County Fair will offer rides for all ages. There will be favorite kiddie rides like the Rockin’ Tug and the Dragon Wagon, and more. THere will also be thrill-seeker rides like Mega Drop, for those of you who like to leave your stomach and heart up in the sky while the rest of you drops to the ground at amazing speed, and the Inverter, for those of you who just don’t feel like the night is complete unless you’ve been tossed and turned upside down a few dozen times with your friends. For those of us who like classic rides, there will be the fair favorite Merry Go Round, and the Tilt. These are just a few of the 100 rides at the fair this year! Tickets for rides are $1 per coupon, and each ride costs a different number of coupons. You can also get 24 coupons for $20, or 34 coupons for $30. The Pay One Price card that is available Monday – Friday only is $25 for ride all you want–this is for Midway rides only.
Photos: Professional photographers will be on site at the 2009 Miami-Dade County Fair taking pics that you can view and buy online when you get home. You’ll get a ticket with a code number on it, and when you get home, you can log and see the photo–and then buy it if you like!
Mardi Gras Parade: There will be a Mardi Gras parade each day at 6:30, complete with floats, beads, and samba dancing entertainers.
Entertainment: There will be characters strolling the grounds, like clowns, robots, and the Miami-Dade County Fair’s own Fairmingo to interact with kids and adults too. The Hanneford Royal Circus will perform several shows a day. ShaeLaurel will be the musical entertainment, just like last year. Baile! is the Latin Dance performance featuring local dancers on the Main Street Stage several times a day.
