Summer Wedding Colors for 2009: Outdoor Color Combinations You’ll Love

With warm weather right around the corner, soon to be bride’s are busy planning their outdoor weddings. One of the first factors that need to be decided on is what summer wedding color combinations that you will use. Here’s three different ideas based on a few great themes.

Summer Wedding Colors 2009- For A Renaissance Themed Day
If you are going to go with a Renaissance theme for your ceremony and/or reception as in this article How to Plan an Outdoor Renaissance Wedding ; than the best color combination that you could have is red, white and black with touches of silver. Here’s a few tips for each one.

Red:Red roses in the bouquet and sashes on the bridal party dresses is a great way to incorporate this color.
White:Of course, the bridal gown usually comes in this color but add it around the area with a few white roses mixed in with the red as well as white lace underneath the centerpieces.
Black: The groomsmen should wear black, as well as adding some black table clothes and vases to hold the bouquets in.
Silver: The silver element will be found in chain-mail and swords. Adding a few candle holders in this metal will round things out nicely.

Summer Wedding Colors 2009- For A Hippie Themed Day
When planning on having a Hippie theme outdoor ceremony and reception, like in How to Plan an Outdoor Wedding with a Hippie Theme ; it’s all about flower power and rainbow love. Though you could go with a myriad of all of the hues in the rainbow; the trick is to use them as only solid colors. For example:

Bridesmaids dresses: Have each one of your bridesmaids wear a different solid color instead of tie-dyed dresses, with matching bouquets of flowers in the same hues.
Bridal Gown:To Incorporate all of the different colors into your attire, wear a rainbow sash around your gown or a floral ring with a flower from each one of the bridal parties bouquets in it.
Flower Centerpieces: Have a few mixed bouquets and alternate them with solid ones.

Once you start figuring out how to incorporate all of the colors that you want for your big day, you are sure to find other decorative elements to mix and match with.

Summer Wedding Colors 2009- For A Beach Themed Day

Turquoise and Blue with Yellow: What reminds you more of a beautiful island paradise than the colors of the ocean? You can have the bridesmaids dresses be in these hues or have them wear simple light yellow dresses and carry a hue of blues as bouquets. You can also reverse this and have them wear the ocean and carry the sun.

This season, colors for a summer wedding in 2009, will be all about expressing yourself. People may be downscaling their budgets but it doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice. Just search out the best theme for your outdoor ceremony and reception and go from there.
