Jobs are scarce these days, and you may be thinking that there is no way to earn any money. Well, there is hope. I was looking for something to do back in August when I discovered Associated Content. Since I liked to write, I knew that Associated Content was the place for me. In exchange for my writing skills, I could be paid without even leaving my house. All I needed was a PayPal account, a computer, and Internet access. Even if you don’t have those things, you could go to the public library and access your money at the bank! It is truly the best way to earn money starting with nothing.
Here on Associated Content, you can write on any subject that floats your boat. You can give the site exclusive rights (which pays more) or keep it non-exclusive and re-publish it elsewhere. Now many skeptics might say that Associated Content does not have high return, but it is obvious to me that those people haven’t either worked on the site or done things right. It took me a few months to learn the inside out of things, but eventually I figured out the ins and outs of making money and now I hope to take advantage of it as much as possible.
For instance, just the other day I put in less than one hour into writing an article on weight-loss. I sent it up for review and earned $3.03 for that hour. It may not seem like much but that can compound over time. That hour of work you put in will without a doubt pay off to the equivalent of or more than you’d earn doing a regular job over time. Theoretically, it could go on forever, therefore writing on Associated Content could in theory be better than working, the only limitation being how many ideas your head can come up with. Of course thats the beauty, when the only limit is what you can think of.
Associated Content is truly a revolutionary concept. What you have is a media company that does not ask the people who write for it to have journalism degrees, or anything else for that matter. In exchange you get just as high quality material as you can find anywhere else from average people. It is a truly egalitarian process and very democratic in its orientation.
In addition, Associated Content is wonderful because you don’t actually have to go anywhere to do it, and you can make money on your own terms. It is great if you are a hardcore AC addict or just a person looking to earn a couple bucks on the weekend. Unlike other writing jobs it is open-ended, you aren’t assigned to write about something you don’t care about (although you can take advantage of the extra money available through AC’s voluntary Assignments program). You get to write on YOUR terms from any perspective you want. So far I’ve written on politics, economics, satire, finance, weight loss, model railroading, fiction, and there is a wide variety more I could come up with. I’m the type of person whose interests and ideas change like the wind, so AC is especially great for me.
What it ultimately comes down to, though, is the cutting edge form of journalism/writing AC practices. AC has taken advantage of the Internet and has cracked through the elitist barrier allowing anybody to become a freelance writer if they wish. This is truly how projects are going to take place over the years, and things that were never accessable to the average person will be. I think of Wikipedia, and how it has used the collective knowledge of average people to produce the greatest encylopedia in the world. Ivory tower elitists absolutely HATE Wikipedia because of how it has threatened their authority and taken down their egos. AC is going to be taking down the egos of the journalistic and writing establishments, mark my words. AC is a growing trend and you’d be a fool not to cash in. (And unlike Wikipedia, you can earn money doing it).
